And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Zechariah 13:6 (KJV)

The love of the Savior for each of us, regardless of the time, setting, or influences under which we were born, is unfathomable. Prophecy has already recorded the love of Jesus as unfailing and eternal! He who has promised us new, perfect bodies in the Day of His return, kept His wounds. He who died to open for us the door to heaven’s perfections kept His wounds. These wounds will be the only eternal reminder of sin and its cost. In heaven, we will never want to sin in any sort of way; to commit any thought, word, or deed that would hurt Him who has loved us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Because of the agreement between the Father and the Son, Jesus bore the sin of the world upon Himself. He knows exactly what it feels like to stand before a holy and righteous Judge as a sinner without an intercessor. Yet, even as He suffered for our sin….

… He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, [He] made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12b
