Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them. The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:129-130

How fitting that when our Creator came to us clothed in humble human flesh, He worked as a carpenter with His earthly father. Building projects, in order to stand the inevitable barrage of testing, must be carried out in a sequence that ensures essential stability. If an error is made, correcting it may require some tearing down to the point where the error was made. Then building can proceed in a manner which provides the stability to bear the weight of further building. Never stop building! And as you build, keep your eyes on the only true Source of all correct “building materials.”

Do you consider yourself to be simple? You have been given the charge of building your character and spiritual nature. It is up to you what counsel to believe and rely upon. Among the vast array of personalities, the simple will gain understanding . . . especially in matters that either baffle or do not matter at all to those puffed up with pride. Do you recognize pride in yourself? Give it to the Lord immediately. If you struggle with feelings of insignificance, pause now and thank your Creator for coming into the world on your behalf, for the marvelous counsel of His word, and for the blessings in your life here and now that usher joy into your days.

The testimonies of the Lord are indeed wonderful! “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matthew 7:24)  Keep building, beloved!
