January 18: WHAT IS THE MILLENNIUM? (part 5)
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
The millennium’s end is the ‘launching pad’ into eternity. During the millennium and even at the very close of it, there are tears. As the redeemed of God investigate the records of loved ones who rejected salvation, the pain is enormous.
The transparency of our God throughout earth’s history is undeniable. Satan would have us believe that He is holding back vital information from His people, but that is actually what Satan does in order to deceive. Jesus demonstrated the M.O. of His Father during His earthly ministry.
“I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing.” John 18:20
In addition, we have the written word, that powerful double-edged sword with which to verify. Every teaching can be investigated.
Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7
The end of the thousand years will mark the total and complete end of sin and those who clung to it. At long last, the redeemed of the Lord receive the promised Kingdom and will live in peace and perfect harmony with Him and each other. Never again will the treachery of evil or its subtle influence ever creep back in.
Affliction will not rise up a second time. Nahum 1:9b
Before our eyes, the Creator will recreate and restore this world into its original glory and beauty; We have never seen exquisite loveliness like this! The Greek word translated new in English is kainos which means restoration of the original, not neos which means something that never existed before.
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” Revelation 21:5,7
