Out of the mouths of babes and nursing infants

You have ordained strength,

Because of Your enemies,

That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. Psalm 8:2

God’s creation of humans upon the earth was not a random event. Before people were created, there had been a war in heaven. It is briefly described in Revelation 12:7-9. After this war, there were two sides to the dispute. Only two sides. We humans were created as an impartial third party—a jury, if you will. King David, as he lifted his praises to the LORD, alluded to this reason behind our being created: Because of Your enemies.

The earthly justice system, in an attempt at fairness, is patterned after the impartial third-party concept. There are two main requirements for qualification as a juror. A prospective juror must a) be someone who did not actually witness the case event/dispute, and b) be the possessor of true integrity and honesty.

Because of the prevalence of evil in the world, and the constant conditioning to accept it that the devil incessantly provides, most people are hesitant to stand for God’s truth. This is nothing new.

Then Elijah came to all the people and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. 1 Kings 18:21

We are in the season of jury selection. If you truly understand that you are the object of the LORD’s love, you should also be certain that He has a host of enemies (see Ephesians 6:12 and Revelation 12:7). These enemies are out to deceive and bribe the prospective jury. The power of the Holy Spirit is available to each of us who desire to stand against the schemes of the archenemy and his minions. The Holy Spirit’s power is the only power that enables us to stand during the controversy of jury selection. We are called to be witnesses unto Jesus that the witnesses for the side of righteousness will increase more and more.

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me . . . to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
