“Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see….” Luke 24:39a
The resurrected Jesus interacted with His followers to show Himself alive! He went on to eat fish and honeycomb.
Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” Luke 24:44
These and so many other validations of prophetic fulfillment are meant to raise our confidence level regarding fulfillments to come, as scripture foretells. Many accounts in the Word are prophetic microcosms which point to future events that will come to pass on a voluminous scale. God’s obedient, loyal, faithful people will have His blessing of inner peace in the last days, even while knowing that the ire of Satan is aimed directly at them.
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17
Today, very few are proclaiming the commandment-keeping message. And even among those, the commandments they claim to “keep” have been altered, just as prophecy foretold in Daniel 7:25. Even fewer know or teach what it means to have the testimony of Jesus. The “woman” with whom the dragon is enraged is the faithful, commandment-keeping church. The answer to the question, “What is the testimony of Jesus Christ?” is given here: For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10
Invite the Holy Spirit as your Teacher to illuminate His prophetic Word, even as He enables you to keep His commandments. May we “rightly divide” which means gain clear understanding of God’s truth, for it applies to each of us personally.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
This verse encourages us to determine, using a sound mind, to understand scripture correctly. Scripture highlights and interprets itself for clarity, but apart from its Author, the Holy Spirit, and a diligent attitude to search the scriptures for yourself (see Acts 17:10-11), you could fall victim to deadly “doctrines of devils.”
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. 1 Timothy 4:1
For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Revelation 16:14
